Remembering Peter with gratitude and admiration. By Mirian Belem-Brown

My memories of Peter will always be of his immense generosity. When I first arrived in Oxford, as a foreign student, I had so much to learn and wouldn't have made it without the support and advice from Peter and Valerie. I have so many fond memories of our conversations while sharing delicious food and learning from his invaluable life experiences. Many years later, after the completion of my studies in Oxford, Peter would travel to Nottinghamshire to walk me down the aisle, knowing that I had no family to support me on the occasion.

It was a privilege to have met Peter and experience the compassion and love that he and Valerie practiced in their daily lives. When I last saw Peter he was already suffering with the severe effects of Parkinson's but I will remember him with his big smile, delighting us all with his life stories. Thank you, Peter, for the wonderful times.
